HALFWAY TO NEW YORK

Halfway to New York are a rare gem on the Function & Corporate circuit. Having supported huge names including Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park and headlined Trafalgar Square as part of the Closing Paralympic Celebrations, the band caught the attention of promoters in the United States.

Since then the band have been touring across the US supporting bands like Fuel and Alien Ant Farm. Now back in the UK, the band have been inundated with requests to perform at Corporate and Private Events. Available as a high energy 4-piece band as standard, with the option of adding Female Vocals and Saxophone to the line-up, H2NY can tailor their band to suit each client’s individual requirements. They also offer a DJ service and all Sound and Lighting equipment is included.

Sam Burkey, the band’s lead vocalist, has recorded backing vocals for artists including Adele, Goldfrapp and Keith Urban, as well as singing on Movie Soundtracks such as “Pan”, “Miss Pereguine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

We are The Slinky Band and have performed all over the UK, Ireland and Europe. We comprise of quality musicians with professional attitudes and have years of experience individually and performing together as a band.

With our extensive repertoire we can accommodate for any age group and event type. This includes classic artists like The Beatles, Queen and The Rolling Stones through to Bruno Mars, Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams.

As Slinky works specifically to the client’s needs they cater for any eventuality you may require for your event. If you want specific music types, set times, an early arrival, a late finish or a specific dress code Slinky can happily provide this.

The band also offers a number of services to make your event, wedding or party ‘a touch more special’ which include: first dance option, acoustic set, iPod playlists and a free DJ service.

Slinky provides the highest quality equipment for all its events. PA and lighting equipment is PAT tested and we hold full PL Insurance which will meet the criteria for all venue types.

YOUNG GUNS are a professional, highly polished live party band. They have been performing since 1995, entertaining audiences around the world and throughout the UK, playing all the major hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and current charts.

They offer a lively seventies speciality package and a classic eighties revival set, and recently brought it right up to date with nineties & noughties pop!

With attention to detail combined with first class musicianship Young guns have earned the reputation of being one of a few bands who can accurately recreate the dynamic sounds of these eras.

Young Guns started life as a Wham Tribute band and supported famous acts such as The Lightening seeds, Ocean Colour Scene, Bjorn again, Uncle Peter from Reeves and Mortimer fame, and Radio 1`s Mark Goodier. They also supported 60`s legends Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch on a seven week winter season at Butlins and recently worked with Azwad and The Beat at Butlins. More recently worked with Victoria Wood and performed for Johnny Vegas, Una Stubbs and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Young Guns offer a lively seventies speciality package and a classic eighties revival set. They can also provide a great party package with pop hits from 60’s to Current Charts providing excellent entertainment for any occasion.
